How do I add an event?

Create a new event by clicking on the "Create an event" link in the upper right corner and filling out the details below:

  • Title – Title of the event

  • Duration – Events can be scheduled to run all day or on a specific time

  • Timezone – Set the timezone to display the timestamp correctly for your territory

  • Repeats – Set this for singular events that repeat weekly or monthly

  • Description – This will serve as the main description for the event

  • Image – Choose an image (longer images crop but have the ability to scroll)

  • Link – The optional destination if a user clicks on the Title

  • Tags – Select tags for the event (tag list is curated by Newsie Staff)

  • Search Address – Use this field populated by Google to set the location of the event

  • Organization – Choose an Organization if the event is tied to it


Once you have your information entered and confirmed, press the "Save" button in the lower right corner to complete the event creation. The event will appear on the app right away.
